This thread is for any CycleChatters to add their personal goals for 2019.

To make it easy to find our goals as we go through the year, can I ask that each poster posts only one post to the thread, and updates this thread through the year. Also, please don't use this thread to comment on others posts as this will clutter the thread and make it more difficult to find plans.

We can use the Zwift splitters thread to comment, mock, encourage goals :tongue:

All are welcome. For those new to CycleChat, if you also Zwift then come and join us on the Splitters thread. Add CycleChat to you Zwift name and join ZwiftPower and join the CycleChat Team in ZwiftPower

My targets for 2019

Distance : 7500 km (4700 miles) (mostly Zwift)
Zwift Racing : Get to Cat B level (22nd April)
Zwift power : hold ave 250 watts over 60 mins (completed 20.02.19 - on BRVR Zoncolan climb :okay: )
Weight : 75 kg by ToC, 70 kg by end of year (77kg mid April)
100 miles on SS : Should do this at ToC
Ave speed of 16 mph at ToC (so need to average 80 rpm)
Do a 100 mile ride on Zwift
Complete 25 Alpe du Zwift climbs (I'm at 12 at the moment)
Enjoy my riding :biggrin:

Cycling Targets for 2019:
Get weight back to just below 70kg (11st in old money) and maintain for rest of year;
Concentrate on ftp to achieve >4.5w/kg;
More real rides;
More real climbs.

Lots of non cycling targets which I'll try to achieve as well so here's hoping.

My first ever audax ride
My longest day. So that will be over 203km.
An ultra ride over 550km
 
1. 2500 miles in real world rides
2. 2500 miles in VR rides
3. Complete double devil
4. Meet up and ride with the cyclechat dudes
5. Drop 20 lbs by May
6. Drink more Cider and eat more full English breakfasts and other bakery stuff on UK ride. - I realize this contradicts no. 5 but I thought I better have one goal I am sure I can meet.

2019 Goals

1. 6,000 miles cycling - at least 1,500 outside (5,861 and 1,311 this year)
2. 260 miles running (virtually none this year)
3. 19,000 TSS (18,691 this year)
4. Get below 12st 4lbs (my lowest weight since I started checking in 2003)
5. Beat my best 100 mile time (4hrs 40mins 15secs)
6. Beat my best ever 1min, 5min, 8min, 20min, 1hr, 2hr, 3hr, 4hr power

That should do :smile:

2019 Goals

  1. Cycle 6500 miles (10,460Km)
  2. Ride an imperial century a month
  3. Ride NCN Route 90 in under 8 Hours 30 Minutes (136Miles / 218 Km + 7000ft of ascent)
  4. Ride Puerto Pollensa to Sant Elm Epic Route ( 196Km + 5800+m Ascent)
  5. Ride Scarborough back to Blackpool In a day
  6. Better my time up Great Dun Fell
  7. Get down to 64Kg or below. I was there 18 months ago, but the weights slowly crept back up to 69Kg
