Cycling in the wind

Well we had fun last night. It is the gaps in hedges or walls you really have to look out for. Steady strong wind is fine but a sudden gust can cacth you unawares.

My commute is from Blackburn into Astley Bridge via Tockholes and it's a scary ride in and around Belmont when it's windy in all that open space.

I expect I pass you going the other way! I work on the little industrial estate at Belmont where the dye works used to be.
Although it was windy last night, I was riding in the middle of the road to avoid all the flooding, so if there was a gust I had plenty of road to play with.
