a road I often cycle down at night to meet up with friends for a swift half.

naturally the missus is now even more paranoid about my impending doom on the local roads - many of which are 60mph B roads.

hope the cyclist is still with us.

I hope their announcement that he's critically ill isn't accurate and he makes a full recovery. There were what seemed like a lot of incidents on the roads near me but hopefully that was just my perception, these things get you down.
If the blokes in the car have done something illegal I hope they throw the book at them, the one with the steel cover.

Either they where doing something wrong beyond just being inobservent, or they fled.

Either way, I agree with the book throwing sentiment.

Also boy racers are a big danger.Perhaps the driver of this one was totally innocent though.

the road was still closed off last night, so it must be serious.

no word on the cyclist, the only thing I have found out by hearsay is he is about a 50 year old male.

it's odd, I don't know the fella, and I wasn't there, but this being close to home and on a road I often cycle, it does make me a little more nervous regarding cycling.

If I hear any news I'll post back.
