But then if a 99p shop has its planning rejected by Lymington councillors because "It would tarnish the look of the town" then what hope has all us lycra louts got to do a sportive? Toffs, the lot of them.
And therefore manages to retain an understanding of irony, which some further south appear to lack ..."Mr Dew" is writing to us from Canada, in Edmonton, Alberta, and has a very nice blog. Well written, and with excellent photographs.http://tuckamoredew.wordpress.com/2011/10/09/edmonton-tweed-ride-2011/
The drifts or round ups have been going for centuries . Go and look up the New Forest Sportive post and you will find out why WE need to move the livestock around the Forest. So what about us New Forest residents that have to put up with the annual round up? where horses and the like race across the road whilst us motorists have to be inconvenienced whilst they ponce about shouting? cycling, driving and tredding in horse poo? or is it cause im a "gridder" my opinions dont count? (gridder being the local term for anyone living outside of the cattle grids). Bloody nimbys.
