On a side issue I used to run a merchandising company, and I know that a lot of the cloakrooms are tiny, not much bigger than cupboards, I seem to remember the Empire was one of those

Thats a lot better than leaving your bike "outside" in "Brixton" as that usualy guarantees that you will be needing a new bike on you return!!
 
nope. I've had it in the Science museum (they made us check the spanner in the bag we had at the door though - and then let us through to head to the cloakroom on our own steam with two folded up bikes - what's with that?) and also at Sadler's Wells without any issue.
