Disk brakes conversion possible?

Quite hard to find a new road bike with rim brakes now.

Thanks- mine (Allez) must be at least 10 years old. Disk brakes felt so much more reassuring & less hand power needed.

I'd agree for a touring bike or new endurance bike.

Being as the original bike is a "beach cruiser", and that we don't know the rationale behind wanting to convert to disc brakes, how about a drum brake? Of course, we don't know what brakes the bike came with, so it might already have a drum brake

The OP was in 2018 so the bike in question has probably been washed out to see by now....
