Just a big thank you to all who replied to this thread last night, harsh and re assuring replies. You all got me through a very very bad night, it was good having someone to talk too. I hate to say this but I was googling some terrible sites, more interested than determined (I hope!)

Remind yourself that you need to pay more attention to your own advice. You didn't seem to be living by it in 2012. You received lots of advice from forum members and even I found some compassion to offer you some even though you were just as unpleasant then as you are now.

Perhaps you could be a bit more helpful and offer guidance based on how you resolved your own personal issues outlined below. Those who offered you some advice might also like to know the outcome.

Are you stalking me or are you one to hold a grudge? I am not unpleasant to you because I ignore you, unless you are deliberately abrasive or provocative toward me.

The issues you drag up from the distant past were resolved by me along the lines of my own advice up thread. But thanks for your concern.

You can see how easy it is to move forward. The more you tell the more support you will get.

Now find something to do in the evening. Join a gym go to Dance classes but find something to do. Dont prove anything to your wife but prove to yourself that you can get your life back.

Whatever happens dont turn to drink. You want to improve your life, not make it worse.

It's crap at the time but gets better

I had the child to worry about, rapid weight loss, despair and money troubles you describe

My ex wife was a distant memory after a couple of years apart

I have a fantastic partner now who Is so much better for me, work is great, I am ok money wise, a love of cycling and I have a great life (oh and 3 bikes!!)

Reminds me of my split from my first live in lover 20 years ago. She came up with a list

She got the cd stereo, I got the cd rack
She got the washing machine I got the clothes horse
She got dining room table, I got th nest of tables
She got the settee, I goot the foot rest
She got the tv I got the VHS
She got the beds, I got the bed side tables
She got the house, I got the shed


She now has four houses including this one she rents out and lives in a big house

I still have a shed

That's normal. It is going to be a roller coaster journey to peace and calm. The peaks of calm will become more frequent and longer lasting than the troughs of despair.

Remember the emotional roller coaster well. It'll be like this for som time, there's no easy fix but I promise you, it will get better.
At least you've got an appointment for your GP, just having someone to listen can be helpful.
