It could work at your local cycling committee meeting other than that Id go casual/cycling clothes or OTT smart suit should I be wanting the chairmans job lol

Well, I'd hold off on the white tie and tails unless it's an interview to be conductor of the London Philharmonic... :smile:

FWIW, good clothes make a good impression, whatever the actual workplace dress code of the organisation concerned. The worst choice you can make is probably 'business casual', which generally conveys the impression of the least effort possible...

Same with weddings and funeral, you never look out of place by being too smart, you can always dress down a bit by remioving the tie and jackiet.
But I have seen some terrible mistakes at weddings and funerals, with people turning up in jeans and t shirts, when everyone else is in a suit.

I've a whole pile of suits - and still have some from when I was larger.

I do wear one at work, usually one of the three I keep at work.

And yes, given what I do as a job I would always turn up for an interview wearing one.
