Do you usually ride the same route?

I have about 7 routes I use regularly + a short circuit I ride intervals on. But will fairly often do other routes or extend my regular routes for more miles or a change on a less frequent basis.

I'm a bit of a creature of habit and can get stuck in a rut. I have several different routes for different distances, but my main one is just over 33 miles. According to Garmin Connect I rode it 31 times last year.

I have a few set routes that I will ride where it is easy to compare times and there are consecutive Strava segments to act as motivational intervals so I push a bit. Other times I will just go out for a ride and see where I end up before I head back. Then their are sociable rides with friends, where the company the roads and the cafe stop are the criteria to make it a good ride.
Commuting I mix up, however I am limited on the number of variations there are being mostly on rural roads.

I probably have about a dozen or so which i use or mix up depending on weather etc. I do have one set route which i use in the winter evenings on the cross bike, usually do this set 18 mile circuit on Tuesday and Thursdays after work. Its mainly on nice quiet back lanes and has quite a good mix of short hard climbs. Love riding the crosser at night.

I do, but once you've ridden enough local routes you can mix/merge them as you're going to change the distance.

I like to try different routes as often as I can. I love taking a right to avoid a big hill only to find I am somewhere completely new and have to take several unexpected turns until I recognise anything again. It's completely part of the plan to rarely come back the same way as I went, just for the buzz.
I go to and from work the same way though.

No, absolutely not. I'd get bored out of my mind.

I do have some favourite places that I keep coming back to, but I try to mix it up as much as possible, and I'm always on the lookout for new routes (or even little variations on an old route) to keep my interest. And I ride road and MTB, which increases my choices.

If I'm going into town, then it's the same route each time, though I sometimes extend it to make life more interesting. Otherwise, I've got my favourite rides, like most people, but I try to avoid doing them too often - I want them to stay my favourites and not get boring! I love exploring new routes - sitting down with the map is half the fun!

I have a 9 mile route and a 19 mile route that i use through the week when time is pressing, but when i have a day off i generally set off with a destination in mind but no particular route planned, i just make it up as i go along depending on how i feel or what i fancy seeing

Hardly ever the exact same route. Loads of options where I am, so just head and do different loops of those. Club rides are only time I do similar but we have 12 different ones of those, and often make it up as we go along. Even when I commute I will try and vary route depending on what training is called for.
