  • I'm afraid I do. And I don't even care if I am bringing about the downfall of civilisation. Sorry.

At home, nope, never have done.

Travelling/on holiday, yes, but only if it's available, not a request I make.

My laptop always has a couple of seasons worth of boxsets on it, and it lives by the bed for those sleepless moments. It's the prefect time/place to watch as there are so few distraction... it's on a par with reading on the bog

I'm currently re-watching "The Wire"

No TV, no laptop, barely a book or the radio. I have trouble getting to sleep so I do not go to bed generally unless I am ready to fall asleep.
I can be up until 3am waiting until I am ready to drop off reading, watching all sorts of late night rubbish or tapping away on forums though

I only have one room, and the sofa is covered with stuff, so my telly watching options are 'sit bolt upright at the dining table' or 'slouch in bed'. So yes, I watch telly in bed, for most of the evening, while surfing on the laptop. At bedtime proper, the telly goes off, and R4 comes on.

My TV's not hooked up to an aerial but I do watch DVDs when I go to bed. Insomnia and depression are real problems for me and watching a DVD (usually TV series from Lovefilm) until I eventually fall asleep (or not) is much, much better than lying there in the dark, listening to the dark shadows drip poison in my ear. Ordinarily I'd read, but I've not been able to concentrate well enough to cope with a book for about six months now.

Always for me, just set the timer to switch off, watch for 10 minutes then turn over & I'm off to sleep in seconds normally. I even put it on if I wake in the night & get the same result!

I don't have a TV in the bedroom, but I have one in the kitchen and another in the dining room. We hardley watch the telly, but I do watch it whilst cooking and ironing.

I've got one in the dining room so I can sit and watch the news whilst having my breakfast. That one also has a DVD player in it so that the boys can be banished in there if their viewing needs aren't to my taste!
