Done it again. Ebay red mess

Any ideas what colour this would have been originally and what modern 'name' for the shade might it be?
Ive googled and found they came in electric blue and flamboyant royal carmine. Going to look a bit of a dick at the paint factors asking for that!

Flamboyant paints are still widely available, someone like @Spokesmann may well know where to source it but it will probably be an enamel paint that needs baking.

As far as I know a good flam paint job needs to be done for a good refinisher.

Yep, my thoughts too, I've also got the feeling it's a translucent over a base colour finish a bit like 'Pearlescent'

Sons got a 53 claud butler jubilee. Thats sort of a chrome like paint with a reddish lacquer over to give it a metallic goldy red finish. Do you mean like that??

AFAIK

Flam / Flamboyant = silver undercoat with translucent lacquer.

Metallic = paint with metallic look / flakes

Acrillichrome / chromovelato = chrome plate with translucent lacquer

Stripped down very easily. Ready for taking the hideous paint off, masking up and blowing over. Shes going to be pearlescent tahti blue.

Any ideas where i can source a set of decals? . Tried ebay and lloyds and it appears no one does ulster sports ones.

Google Specialist Paints in Sheffield , they do a whole range of colours .

1st coat of colour on the frame. Going to whack on 2 colour coats then 3 lacquer. Getting there slowly.
