I have a pair from the 1980's. The leather is and was when new like cardboard. They're uncomfortable,over -rated,and over priced at £90 quid!!!:ohmy:,in my opinion.To cycle in them would be very uncomfortable,and i'd hate to think that someone i know might see me in them!:blush:
 
Lowa is what you want boots wise IMO. Bought a pair 2 years ago never looked back.

I'm not surprised. Very nice if you can afford THEM :eek:

I only have two pairs of footwear if they last over three years of daily use it is affordable imo. I would never get over a years daily use out of a 50 quid set of boots. had them three years now will probably get another year or so out of them. I could probably get away with resoling them to get a couple more years out of the uppers not sure if I will though.

It does make sense in that respect, you just need the money upfront to buy them though, it's a classic catch22 isn't it? :smile:
