Porridge and a couple of rounds of toast.
Excellent choice! I drink really weak lemon or blackcurrent squash with a small teaspoon of salt and sugar added as well. A litre and a half for fifty miles works for me but I tend to have a couple of coffees at a half way break too. I keep a KitKat for the last ten miles.

Well done!

It depends on the distance I'm riding. Anything under 50 miles and it's just a couple of 500 ml bottles filled with squash.
If my rides are longer then I pack some jelly babies in to, also stopping off at some point to refill my bottles with a drink from a local shop. I've even been known to buy a cake or flapjack at these forementioned stops.

As long as I breathe, I attack.
Mid you you have to factor in effort levels on a ride, my legs were hurting more after a solo 24 miler at my top end pace for any ditance than the club run at a slower pace.

Most of the ride was rural, so had quite a few inclines to negotiate, I'll plan my route abit more carefully next time, thanks.
