Erosion in the inner lining of the tire

I've bought many tires of different types, many of them had erosion where the inner layer becomes very worn to the point that the tire threads start cutting the inner tube and I have to change the tire at that point.

How would you wear out the inside of the tyre before the outside ?

That is why I put baby powder on the inside of the tire. I feel it also helps the tube seat stress free.

It's caused by running your tyres at below optimal pressure.

* More air.
* Talc.
* Better quality tyres.

Sounds more to do with riding with a flat tyre.
I suspect my use of a puncture protection liner is masking that problem on my rear tyre.
