Here for rides.
No escape from reality. Especially in a landslide.
No escape from reality.Caught in a what?
I read this as "...then banged his mate"Man, about my age, overtook me on the bottom third of the climb up Bury Hill from Arundel y'day afternoon
And stifling his futile lowest-possible-gear counter-attack by the simple expedient of standing up on the pedals and giving it some beans, I dropped him like a stone. And then bagged his mate.
Am I no longer in the friendly cyclists club?

Earlier in the day I did become somewhat distracted by a gorgeous flame haired woman on a bike.I read this as "...then banged his mate"
I thought to myself, my, you did have a lot of energy that day.
.......
Clarity has reared
It's ugly head again
So this is real life
You're telling me .....
Caught in a trap. No turnin' back. We're lost in music.Caught in a what?

A29 does cross Bury Hill tis true but we were toiling up the A284 London Road from the A27/Arundel By-Pass having ridden up from Ford. A29 climb going south is less height gain but shorter distance (104m in 1.25km) and much steeper than going north on the A284 (142m in 3.75km)Is that on the A29? Nasty hill that.
You see why I don't like travelling on trains.
