I never got on with SRAM double tap. I stuck with it for about a year then gave up and sold the bike as, cost wise, I didn't think there would be much in it between that and changing the groupset. I would say you know more or less at once if it will work for you. If you don't "get it" in the first 100 miles you probably never will.

Or, (if you can) N+1!

105 5800 should be very cheap now, as the new R7000 is out.

I have never had much issue with my 5800 setup seems pretty bomb proof.

I would like the new R7000 but can’t justify the cost
