I'm surprisingly OK thanks for asking
Dad's funeral went off OK, except his name was misspelled on the coffin! It's not unusal to get our surname spelled wrongly, however when you've stressed the spelling to the funeral director I do think it's inexcusable. Perhaps some folk wouldn't mind, but Dad was always proud of his family name and spelled it out every time he told it anyone.
My Sisters picked the ashes up today and he's going to be interred in a family grave with his Grandparents and Uncle at a date to be arranged.
I got through his funeral without completely losing the plot, but it is the hardest thing I've ever had to do. I damn near pushed my thumbnails through my fingers though as a distraction, which seemed to help.
So thanks to all of CC for your thoughts nd messages, you've proved yet again that you're all a thoroughly decent bunch of chaps , always ready and happy to support a fellow member at all times.
