Fit bit or similar

Hi guys, im looking into getting a fitness tracker watch, the main thing i want it to do its easily upload my runs to strava so i can leave my phone at home, ideally without wires or getting the laptop out.

Cheaper the better too!

Any suggestions?

Mrs has a Fitbit. It's been a bit flaky and finally packed up entirely, but she rang them up, they took the serial number, new one through the post 2 days later without quibble. First class customer service.

Theres so many of them i dont know which ones allow strava connectivity

Unless your doing covert operations, take your phone, it could save your life.

Absolutely. Nothing deters a mugger more than a Samsung Note jabbed into the throat.

As @Shadow121 says, I’d wouldn’t ditch your telephone, you never know when you’ll need it in an emergency.
Stick it in a seat pack and forget about it.

I still carry my phone as I want it with me anyway, but I also have a Garmin Vivoactive 3 and it's the main way I record my rides now.

It auto pauses if you want it to, and as soon as I tell it to save the ride it uploads it through my phone to Garmin Connect, which passes it straight on to Strava, including the HRM data.

It has a few typically Garmin blips every now and again, but I've found it works really well.

It's also quite liberating not being able to see the stats on your handlebars all the time.

Fitbit is a bit pants for recording rides to Strava tbh, get a cheap Garson bike computer like the 200 (or whichever the cheapest with Bluetooth is) if not using phone
