Another vote for 6 music.

KEXP from Seattle and Studio Brussel (StuBru) from Belgium are very decent too.

Radio 4 in the morning then Ken Bruce after 11 (I can't stand quiz shows of any sort so avoid Popmaster). Back to R4 at 12 and a quick listen to Steve Wright at 3 to see if I like the oldies.

3 words: "dietro le scene".

3 words: "dietro le scene".

That's 6 words

Heart seems to be the popular choice at work where the radio is on all through the site, too many adverts and Ed Sheerin records for my liking, but before that it was either Absolute, which is awful or Smooth which is not exactly 'inspiring' either.

Mainly 5 live or R4 in the car or sometimes a local station called Pure.

Old rockers will love Holland's Arrow Classic Rock. It used to be on MW with a signal so strong you could almost get it on your toaster here in E Anglia. Sadly now mostly on-line only: http://www.arrow.nl/

The Dutch do great radio and Radio 10 Gold has a nice wide playlist: http://www.radio10.nl/
They're on 103- 104FM too if you're near the coast from around Yarmouth down to Clacton. Or in NL of course.

And despite the best efforts of the UK authorities and the bloody BBC, Caroline continues ^_^

At a factory I used to work at it was Radio 2 all the way until every now and then one of the old boys had enough and put Radio 3 on, very strange walking out onto the shopfloor and classical music was blasting out into a manufacturing area.

Their home page at http://www.thearrow.co.uk/ would suggest that they are currently available on DAB. Maybe a change of heart on their part?

The Arrow might be on DAB in some parts of the country - the south east possibly - but I'm fairly sure I can no longer get it in the frozen north east.

There are regional DAB multiplexes, each costs money to broadcast from and The Arrow cannot justify paying to transmit to sparse population areas.

This is a rare instance when I will be genuinely happy to be proved wrong.

Where I used to work I had erected a large wire loop on the outside wall aimed at the Netherlands and could listen to Radio 10 gold all day when it was on 1008kHz.

Ill start to listen to the radio when they stop talking over the beggining snd end of tracks, do these people not realise that no one is bothered that there may be a milli second of dead air, then theres the bloody big deal they make out of playing a track that may last more than 3 minutes and keep reminding you they played the un-edited version and when they do play one they turn it into a feature 'long track Thursday'. Grrrr I hate the radio.

DJ's used to knowledgeable (some still air) and played music, the cult of celebrity has invaded radio with guest presenter,s who waffle on about anything but music.
