- ...I don't have much idea - really.
Perish the thought! I'm just contemplating the approach that's best for morale...
Tell her Adrian will be there - resplendent. Enough?

*twitch*fear not - we'll go through Romford.
And......added Splash n' Dash loo stop at Tescos in Seven Kings! So your cup won't runneth over!

Too much, perhaps! Don't want to over-excite the newbies. Which is why I'm also not sending her any links to Andy's saucy pics...
I wondered if Bungalow Bill would get a mention. 'Not a lot upstairs, but plenty down below'.Bill Wiggins says "Thank you, India"
it is going to be much more uppydowny than the usual Southend run, but, then again, there are no set piece hills like Turners Hill, let along the Ditchling Beacon. Brentwood will be the high point.
In essence it's the first 37 miles of the Harwich route, followed by a zigzag southwards to Hadleigh and then Tattershall Gardens. I've decided that, other than Bognor, our rides don't afford us as much exposure to that great Indian import, the bungalow, and I think we can redress this deficiency between skirting Rayleigh and Hadleigh
Is that metaphorically as well as physically?
Ah, ha! Hadleigh. Went to primary school there. The church is older than the castle you know, and well worth a stop and stare - one of only four Norman churches to have a round apse.

Got to admire the optimism there.....
excuse me! That was one of the smoothest operations you're ever likely to see. Perfect co-ordination. Peloton arrives at Gidea Park at 01.23. Train bearing Adrian reunited with wallet arrives 1.25.Does this mean some of us have to leave luggage at HPC, dash back across town, have a series of frantic phone calls and then jump on a train to some East London outpost to meet up with the peloton?
