FNRttC Friday Night Ride to the Coast, Cardiff to Swansea 22nd August

Next year maybe... I really ought to as I have friends in Cardiff. Not only that, but the guy who introduced me to doing FNRttC lives there!

He does now. Just emailed, but I think he may be away - I know he's off later in the month.

Would love to come, but unlikely to be back on a bike until September at the earliest. Definitely not up to a night ride in two weeks time.

Have fun though, still one of my favourite FNRttCs

Cheapest rail fares seem to be £107 return. Although I'm not very good at these things

If you buy a single each way you can get the two journeys for £67.30, but it's still not cheap.

I couldn't find that price, but as you say....

Just had a look- still about the same price (£35 Brighton-Cardiff) if you split tickets at Fratton, say....

I tried that. It was £15 return to Soton but shitloads from there to Swansea via Reading IIRC

The FGW service (via Pompey and Southampton) is cheaper than via Reading- that's the mainline....
