It's a bit more complicated than that...

<thinks it's about time he actually gets on one of these>
<sends the dates into his work calendar and wonders what happened to the threatened Aston Clinton to Saarrfffend ride>
<realises that sleep deprivation is something of a speciality without adjoining it to a long bike ride>
<realises that being used to sleep deprivation is possibly a good thing if going for a long bike ride while sleep deprived>
<works out that over-analysis of an apparently simple situation may be a useful skill for a risk specialist in an insurance company but is probably de trop for a bike rider>

PS - anally retentive grammar nazi says - you're missing a "to" in the third sentence.

Simon, I notice the March Southend ride isn't listed on the blog front page, though it is in the guide....correction needed?

Quite! Just come on the ride! The staying awake thing is easier than you think...

I've just discovered the 'stats' bit on the blogthingy. The 2011 page has had over 2000 hits this month.

Martlets ride now moved to the 2nd September, and the blogthingy smartened up a bit....

Grrr.....same weekend as Pedal to Paris, again! Ho hum.......

London to Rye, with a half way stop at the M20 services at Hollingbourne. Rye is not quite the coast (but it used to be!) and it has some great cafes for Breakfast. Only challenge is that trains are hourly to Ashford, but then fast into St Pancras.

The ride down from Maidstone is particularly nice.

We are almost ahead of you. I'm being pressured in to running a Superspeedy ride to Dungeness. And I did look at the service station! Great minds or what!!!

Here for rides.
Now we know THE DATE, could Bognor move back six days to Thursday 28th? We could then sit around on the front and drink beer on Bank Holiday Friday studiously ignoring events elsewhere.

I can't see why they've moved april fool's day to the 28th.

given I emigrated for a day the last time, when the wingnut married the china doll, I think a Thursday night ride to the Coast followed by an all day sesh in a pub with no TV and a republican landlord must be arranged.
