Given that the forecast is from the BBC then it'll probably be bone dry that night....

Fancy joinng me on the train up?
One Late-To-Register-on-Cycle-Chat epidemiologist is aboard the Brighton Ride. Are we expecting others?
Though this epidemiologist has a tendency to dissolve, Wicked Witch style, in the rain, so will probably shy off if it's anything more substantial than a heavy mist.
(p.s. hi to all, and thanks for asking whether I was gonna sign up or not. It was in my diary all along, have no fear!)
not done a night ride in the summer as yet. How cold does it get assuming its dry? Can I get away with a jersey and arm warmers?

I'd say prep for as low as 12C with layers. Personally I'll definately be wearing shorts, jersey, knee warmers and a gillet. I'll also be bringing arm warmers, an ultra packable light rain jacket and overshoes. Better too many layers that I can stuff in my pockets than not enough.
EDIT : Oi! What's bling about Montane?![]()
Nothing. I have had one since they were made of waterproof material...Saw you at the lights on Haverstock tonight Abs - you were spinning off the light change and I was 5 behind you, turning left. I did think about catching up, which would have been ok, but didn't fancy the grind up the hill as I was riding the Solo! I'll do it next time!
