Ok I know i'm early but I may need to buy stuff. This is the first time I've done one of these long-ish distance rides, what kit do I need? What I'm planing on taking is:
two inner tubes; tyre levers; mini pump; allen keys; spoke key; spare batteries for lights; water; phone (all these things are usually with me anyway) plus some fig rolls; lock (may need a lock buddy as mine is only a cable lock); high viz vest (kindly donated by maintenance guys at work); camera.
Am I likely to need anything else?
Can't decide whether to swap my tyres out and put new rear brake blocks in.
Ta for advice in advance

The Wetherspoons is in West Street and I'd be very dubious about leaving my carbon dream machine there. It's the through route for thechavstourists from the station to the beach.
Hopefully the Fortune of War on the lower prom will be available.
"Bloody Hell"
In the mid- 70s I used to visit Brighton about once a month and take "real photos" - there was a bar I photographed...derelict and I probably have it scanned somewhere...'The Fortune of war'
Not playing any more - too spooky'

One of the few pubs in Brighton with a 24hr license and it's nearer to the beach than the Madeira Cafe.
Simon,
Could you add me too please (and possibly also a friend).
Hopefully it'll be better weather than my last fnrttc to Brighton (last October i believe - torrential rain and arctic wind - i was the idiot in the shorts and no coat)
Merci
I think there's at least 5 or 6 for the return journey, not sure of the route though I was planning on following Aperitif or Ianrauk...... I won't be going to HPC, will leave at a suitable point to get me to my bed in SE London
