FNRttC Friday Night Ride to the Coast - te 'Genteel' ride to Brighton on 23rd July 2010

Hey remember, I've never gone above 50 miles before. I'll be at the back keeping the TECs busy....

Nah I'll be needing it for GPS and to call the ride leader to get him to wait for me. Probably about once every 5 mins, bugger I'd better buy a second battery......

Just to confirm that I can't make this ride now.

My knee, as stupid as this sounds, is just not liking slow'ish cycling, or chill's right now. I can go as fast as ever before, if not faster, but going slow, well, my sort of slow, it just flairs up and get's uncomfortable... roll on the Whitstable ride, hopefully..

PS. Whats all this talk about Winter clothing?? I was going to go in my tri-top and skimpy shorts, you know, just to show off my 64cm (relaxed) thigh muscles...

Cycled down the coast in the line of duty this morning (selfless, I know) and The Fortune of War won't open till 11am on Saturday despite my entreaties and despite having a 24hour license.
The only other option I could find was, as someone suggested earlier, the Wehterspoons opening at 9.00. Not bad and big windows to keep an eye on the bikes.
