No, that's the set with charger and batteries. There's only one version of the V1.That is the rechargeable battery version. I have gone for the version that runs on conventional AA's

Are you sure? For the price of one Hope light you could get 38 lights from 7-day-shop. The light source is identical - a 3-watt Cree LED. The only difference is that Hope chuck in a bit of bent metal which directs the beam.Highest spec for the lowest price

Have you got some spare battery holders? Makes changing batteries a doddle.OK having spent an evening going through ALL your recommendations, for which many thanks, I've finally gone with the "Hope Vision 1"
(£64 from Evans was cheapest)
I'll take a couple of sets of spare AA's so I can keep it on full power if I want all night
And I'm taking a head torch as well
A good price for sure, though i would prefer to use a better charger than that?So if anyone else is after a decent light for the DD then it's the Winstanley site to buy from.

Yes it is of course. Runs on both normal and rechargeable. Most folks run on rechargeables as it sucks batteries (not a criticism).Yes, but the light's the same.....
Not sure if this has been answered, but yes you can.(Does one of those phone charger power pack work to charge up lights ??)
Luckily I had Evens do the price match before Winstanley bumped up the price, so result is I got it from Evan for £56!
So the ultimate DD lighting system seems to be:
A Hope Vision 1 light
With the rechargeable batteries and charger
With a spare (or 2) battery holder, pre-loaded with a set of batteries of your choice (rechargeables or conventional AA's)
A set of spare batteries as back up
