Me and my sister where discussing music we would like at our funerals ... as you do ... lots of funnies occurred to us both, but i’ve settled on;

Nimrod, by Elgar .. as people are filing in.
The Minstrel Boy, Joe Strummer and the Mescalero's version .. 1st Hymn.
Brothers in Arms, Dire Straits .. 2nd Hymn, curtains close on casket.
Above and beyond, Out Of The Totem Matrix (Above & Beyond Mashup) .. All leave.

No ones singing at my funeral, just enjoy ( or hate ) the music. ^_^

I am hoping to be picked up and taken home to my own planet and report what I've discovered.

After a few words from the celebrant*. Louis Armstrong singing 'What a Wonderful World. Then exit to La Mer Charles Trenet 1968 version.

*Humanist and not any of that sky pixie rubbish.
My missus wants a humanist funeral also. It seems we all talk about funerals. I suppose its inevitable really...

My mate had the TDF Theme as his, but it was his missus who picked it was he wasn't expecting to drop dead ! :sad:

My wife went to a relatives with 'This girl is on fire' - at a cremation !

Recent funeral for a neighbour was a couple of her favourite songs - Robbie's Angels and a Take That Song, followed as, an exit song, a 90's dance track, because that's what 'nana' danced to in the kitchen. She was only 63 !
