With the hint that it might be too far from Colin's residence, I thought it must be findable on one of the ford sites. Not Lancashire, not S Yorks, not W Yorks. N Yorks - I find something that could possibly be it with OS grid reference thoughtfully provided.
NOT too far! I agreed that locals would find it easy - I knew it at a single glance.

We used to go that way on the Spring Into The Dales audax event but the route was then changed. Probably because there was a risky crossing of a fast downhill stretch of the busy A59.

The road further along is named Storiths Lane. I always assumed that the bit with the ford is too.

Oh no. That means more time wasted faffing around on Google maps. Couldn't you just say "not even close"?
Wouldn't that be a tad unhelpful to everyone else?

If it's a Welsh name an anagram isn't going to be much help! (DLT nimbly goes bananas!)
The traditional way to solve these is to study the pictures. Clues, which may assist some, are usually offered after a day or two.

I think the clue ought to be quite helpful, given the context. You might very well speculate, though I couldn't possibly comment, that the picture was taken on the same evening as my previous offering.

I can't solve yours, by the way

In which case I got yours wrong too
I was thinking it was an anagram of mbndtlily, i.e. rembrandtlily without r, a, r, e.

I think it is an anagram of the last six letters. Not rare because it is a saint's name and is not uncommon in Welsh place names. Or iit may be that it is running across a common at that point. Quite a lot of high ground in Wales is common land.

I've even found a road going by that name, which isn't all that far from where Dogtrousers thought - the other side of the hills he mentioned.

But I can't find anywhere on that road that looks right.
