You are older than me, do your legs still function?
haha. Yes they are generally good thanks. I still enjoy 20-30 milers.
We both had bad flu earlier in the year......lasted 2 months. We think it was Covid as it has left us with all the "long haul" symptoms of fatigue, brain fog, losing balance etc so I have not been able to ride for months.
This Sunday/Monday I was a lot better. Today seems good. I am hoping for a 10 miler soon.

Apart from shopping Covid problems we have got passed the present buying stage BUT I haven't got a card yet. I have 5 days to do so
I'm sure there's a petrol station on your route home😁
Cut the rose hard back at the end of the year, really hard to the last decent looking outward facing buds. Cut any spindles (thinner than a thin pencil) off past the last bud so they cannot re sprout. Find a couple of shovel fulls of good compost and pack it around but not touching the base of the plant. Leave it be for the winter.
Fish, blood and bone mix gently dug in first before the compost topping is beneficial to my roses I am sure.
