Hey all.

I have a big corner in my garden free. I’d like a nice shrub or Bush that’s unusual. Maybe something with very bright coloured berries on. Something cool and rare would be nice.
Any ideas??

Hebes are nice and butterflies love them.

Ceanothus? They're as wonderful splash of colour in the spring, and a good shape & colour the rest of the year.

You can prune them to be how you want them - we had one with a trunk like this, and another that came almost down to ground level like this:

PS TBH they're neither rare nor particularly cool - but they are lovely
