Garmin Varia Rearview Radar Rear Bike Light

I use the rear light radar and front display as well as it been connected to my garmin 1000 ,I have used this set up since I had an off with a bus trying to squeeze past on a single track country lane ,

I am blind in my right eye and find that it's difficult to look over my left shoulder all the time checking on traffic, I find this radar set up a great help and very positive in keeping me informed of vehicles approaching from behind ,
Does anybody else use one and what's your views on it

I’ve had one for a long time, but only recently started using it.

I really like it, it’s a good advanced warning, it picks up cars far earlier than a glance over my shoulder and usually before you hear them.

I would never rely on it but I like it as an extra warning.

They seem to get a lot of negative reactions in forums, with people saying, just get a mirror, but I found mirrors pretty useless on my road bike. In my opinion anything that keeps me informed and makes me feel safer is good.
