I suspect the noses are too thick for that frame but only @rrarider can say...perhaps with a photo of the frame cable hanger with a front-on view?

Next time I uncouple the gear cable, I'll get my Vernier caliper's internal jaws inside the housing and measure it. I don't think a photo would enable you to measure it. In any case I would probably need to replace the inner if I unthreaded it, there being not much spare length next to the inner's ferrule.

Shimano gear cable ferrules now fitted. Switched twist grip shifter for a friction thumb shifter.

No surprises that gear shifting and gear cable blues now sorted.
