Riding home from work the other day I got a puncture, now on the bike I have a small bag with a spare tube+patches.
On checking, I spotted a nail stuck in the tyre, so pulled it out and thought, should I put a patch on the innertube, or stick the new tube in.

In the end I put the new tube in, got home then repaired the the innertube.

What do you do, repair the puncture at the roadside or put a new tube in .

New tube, then patch at leisure.

Yip, I'm in that camp too; I tend to patch in batches too. When I used to patch individual tubes by the next time I needed it Id find the solvent had went hard.
I tend to patch in batches too, that's why I have 10 or so waiting, just never got round to doing the first batch!

It's seldom easy to find a hole in a tube, especially when it's cold/wet/dark or all three. I always carry two tubes so that when I realise I forgot to remove the original cause of the puncture from the tyre I've got a second spare - and two tubes to repair when I get home.
