Nice

220ish BHP?

I never had it on the rollers but expect around that, ran the smaller G60 pulley was hitting 1 bar boost before 2000 rpm iirc.

Goes really well on the road, liked the period parts rather than slinging a 20v Turbo in there.

My proposed purchase of a Golf fell through after the front sub frame was found to be rotten.

Trying to find a car at the moment is a bloody nightmare.

Had a couple of hours chopping nearside to bits tonight, slightly better condition but still getting the full works.

Same as everything I own or work on, will be a one off at the end of it (bloomin ocd kicking in again..).

Well 13 months after we started the Golf is back on the road.

MOT last Saturday, passed with a clean sheet, no advisories!.

Yesterday was fighting with the new fuel, not a patch on what you could buy 17 years ago..

Me and my lad went out for a 20 mile shakedown run, think he was quite surprised how much poke it's got and we haven't even opened the taps up fully yet!.

Another few hours of road tuning before I'm happy to do another trackday, Donnington I think for old times sake.

It was a completely uneconomical repair, but having owned her for 22 years she deserved another go round the block.

Had a few waves and thumbs up while driving, you don't see many on the road now!.

Full build here if anyone is interested.
