Most bottled and canned beers have CO2 added.

Why don't the (loosely speaking) brewers of such products just capture their CO2 produced by brewing and pump it back into the beer? I'd have though that would be easier than venting it off, then buying in CO2 from someone else.

Mind you I'd not drink such a contemptable product in the first place
