Used to use wiggle till I heard about rose bikes in Germany, for the items I've ordered from rose they were all a third to half the price of wiggle with service and delivery excellent so far....

interesting - stuff is really cheap there, when i tried to buy though, with postage it was only marginally cheaper. so i thought what the hell.. no point - might as well give business to a company here plus the goods would come much faster..

btw, yes Wiggle does Collect+

flat rate of £7.60 for delivery to UK (£5.05 if spend is >£150), so yeah not great if you are only looking to buy one or two cheap items... otherwise, I found them to be a bargain (recently purchased tyres, pedals, cassettes, a wheel set) compared to the usual UK sites wiggle, chain reaction, evans etc , delivery arrived today, took a day and a half from ordering..

This is just my point. Wiggle used to be so good, like your LBS online and at very reasonable prices. The trouble is that they have grown too big, too quickly, so whilst it may be good for their business, it is no longer a personal service.

You want a 'personal service' from an online retailer...?? If you buy online, all you have a right to expect is the goods you ordered, at the price you paid, delivered in the time you expected. If you want 'personal', shop locally...

On another note, (I must be full of Christmas cheer today!) the haribo that Wiggle sometimes sends out are the tiny bags. At my local Lidl (France) I can buy a baig bag of these for 2.49 euros and I think there must be 20 small bags of Haribo inside. So that means 12.50 cents per bag (about 10 pence). So if I order something from Wiggle with a free bag of sweets it must be a great deal!!!:stop:

Black 'n' yellow you are missing the point. WIggle used to be the most "personal" service you could get online, but this is no longer the case. Also their prices are now no longer any cheaper than my LBS, so of course I shop locally.

I've been using Wiggle on and off for a number of years now and I can't see that anything has changed. I order stuff, they deliver it. What do you feel was 'personal' about it...??
