Greenwich foot tunnel and cycling

I've just been through the Greenwich foot tunnel under the Thames, and following the very clear 'no cycling' signs I walked my bike through. However, 4 out of the 5 other cyclists I saw were riding through - without, it must be said, causing any visible inconvenience or annoyance to the few pedestrians.

I walked mine through and went up in the lift. My mate rode through and was prevented from using the lift and had to carry his bike up the stairs.

I've only walked through the tunnel. It's too narrow to cycle safely with pedestrians.

Happened to me and my "Crew" countless times in our youth. I'm surprised they still have lift attendants there, I thought they'd have gone years ago.

My nan lived around the corner and I used to make the journey across London on my own from age 10, unfortunately I went see her one day when I was about 12 and there was nobody there, on getting back home my parents told me she had died, I found out many years later this was a lie and that she was around to see my two eldest, if only I had known.

I loved the river, Cutty Sark, Gypsy Moth, the Museums and so much more, I need to visit again after writing this.
