The lightning flashes illuminating the snow covered landscape made for some spectacular scenes last night, then the rumbling thunder followed by a brief period of hail stones delivered along with some serious squalls of northerly wind.
There was a lot of weather last night.

kids have gone through all the motions... excitement, rush to get out, play happy for ten minutes, get cold, annoy each other, fall over, fall out, cry, shout, scream, and now sulking in front of the usual Saturday morning kids TV tripe

About an inch in Newark but as stated previous been Sunderland and it was bloody awful. Got out of the car walked round to the passenger side and fell flat on me back not once but twice.
