It's been called a hand brake since cars first hit the roads, doesn't matter if it's foot operated or an electrically operated "parking brake" it will always be known as a hand brake even if it is technically an emergency brake or e-brake.Even the foot operated one's.
Yep lol when they are ok they are great but I wish I never bought mine ,,my last car was much better (Bmw) I can't see how other cars with the same kinda electrics can b jump started and Merc can't
Airy fairy, namby pamby gadgets.
The job first started going to ratshit when they first got rid of starting handles![]()
Why can you not jump start it? That is a new one on me.
i think he means Bump Start it..jump start is leads on battery..
Wow this thread went off on a bit of a tangent didn't it
No ,,I mean jump start with leads to the battery it blows fuses and disturbs the cars delicate electronics, you can but its not as simple as most cars ,there's a defined procedure and u. Can't just connect leads from other car and crank it over it'll prob start but blow a few sensors if ure lucky , it may blow the rear module ,and guess what , that's like 600 and requires the car to b hooked up to a diagnostic machine and only certain garages have them ( Mercedes specific) and again u need to pay for that .i think he means Bump Start it..jump start is leads on battery..

So an innocent jump start can cost u a fortune , it's usually a garage recovery job for the simplest of things , stick to bikes lol
