I just have.
I found out this morning that my eldest would not be in Geography class this afternoon, she told me she had no lessons but the fact is she is skipping class. I found out literally 1 minute before I left for work and I was furious. I had some heated text messages with her about it and she has promised that this will never happen again- I’ll be discussing this further with her over the weekend.
I’m not naive enough to think kids don’t pull the wool over their parents eyes but I am not happy at all with her about this. So unhappy about it that I emailed her Geography teacher and told him that she was skiving off and could he please make sure she was given the work she missed to do over the weekend.
I thought I might feel guilty in grassing up my own child but I don't. I told her that her actions have consequences and that I was very disappointed in her. Anything else I should do? Ground her? Leave it be- she if she's learnt her lesson?
