I haven't eaten them for the past year. I'm sure they changed the recipe and they don't only look 'mank' but taste it too!
I now use Branston Baked Beans.

Having noticed the obvious deterioration in the quality of Heinz beans recently, I took the advice given on here and bought Branstons. So much better than Heinz; I am a convert .

Edit ..... Ring pull cans would be good though, I had to go and find the rusty old can opener thing!

Well, opened a can of Heinz beans for brekkie this morning. And blimey if you're not wrong. They do look more mushy then I remember.

Heinz have increased the tomato content from 27% to 33% to try and fight off the challenge from Branston with their 30% tomato content! (According to the DM.)

On the basis of discussions hereabouts we've made the switch, and frankly we couldn't be happier. Branston are definitely the superior bean. Heinz are going to need more than a few tomatoes to regain their baked beans crown.
