Anyone have any suggestions for a new heat pump dryer in the 300-400quid range please?
Also the dryer will be in the garage, which can get down to 8degC, is that a problem? Based Aberdeenshire on the coast.
We used to run a Hotpoint condensor dryer, but after a decade and a change of PCB its fried the socket so time for a new one.
We have a PV storage setup and get cheap Octopus power for the EV overnight so a programmable timer unit would be useful.

One point, returned by a Google search .....

Installation & Environment: Both types are ventless, meaning they can be placed anywhere as they collect water in a tank. However, heat pump dryers perform best in warm rooms (above \(10^{\circ }C\)) and are not ideal for cold garages.

So probably a condenser dryer works best for you?

Also, when choosing a new machine, look for the location of the water tank. If it's going to be on the floor, then a tank near the top will be best, but if it's going to be stacked, then a tank low down could be best.
