Barely a drop of rain has fallen, despite the forecast.

Need the rain here in Telemark/Norway. We don't need the lightning though. It tends to start forest fires when it's so dry. Our weather usually comes from the direction of the British Isles so save us some rain willya!

Just had a short but heavy shower. Enough to wet the tent and the hammock. Thunderstorm due at midday local time. Long drive ahead today so we want be gone and over the other side of the mountain before that arrives.

The local newspaper for Telemark reports hundreds of lightning strikes and 19 new forest fires. Had the kids with me so a good thing we left early.

Lawn well watered.. I suppose the hailstones count as Slow Release pellets

It rained pretty well much all night here, and then it's been raining on and off since tea time.

And already, the weeds are growing, my mulberry crop is decimated and I have a squelchy carpet of cherry plums...

On the flip side, the grape vine, fig tree and tomato plants really appreciated the rain.

This afternoon got rather damp, my garden is looking rather sorry for itself, I'll have to wait a while then see what replanting I can do. In other news the aphids are winning the battle of the delphiniums.

Thanks, they are noticeable by they're absence here unfortunately, I've had to resort to soapy water and removal by hand

That's a shame that you don't seem to have any. They're such useful wee things.

P.S. I always get a giggle when I see them mating. They bonk for two hours at the time!

Following up from my post last night, we had some torrential rain, strong wind, (not during my commutes ) and a temperature drop later in the day.
Money plants, Christmas cactus, Yucca plant, are back inside.

First wet weekend for a while so can't complain. Weird though, it was summer on Thursday and now we're into day 3 of wind and rain. Some real downpours thrown in with the normal rain. Had to venture into the garden last night in the middle of a storm to strap the motorbike down as I thought the wind was going to take it off it's stand. Crazy stuff for July.
