Club ride cancelled due to it pishing it down and 40 mph gusts .

I don't blame you. Looking at the way the trees are bending those 40mph gusts are going to be straight in my face on the commute this morning.

Lake District (SE corner) - we've now had non-stop rain since Friday evening.

Out of the window went yesterday's long ride and today's hoof in the mountains

Ah well, unfitter than I would have been but at least I'm dry.

OK rain, that's enough now - surely all the gardeners will be happy that they have been watered.
I have cleaned the house, done some personal admin, fettled 2 bikes, and spent too long on here.
I would like to get out for a ride now as I have done zero miles since Thursday, and no lengthy ride for 2 weeks.
Go away rain, the novelty has worn off!

It's been raining here over the weekend and the garden needed it but I've enjoyed every minute of the hot weather. We get plenty of shoot weather during the year and I'm hoping that we get a bit more of the hot stuff before the summer is out. Before we know it, it'll be cold and dark by 5pm and these long summer days will be a distant memory!
