Yay!

One of the things I've noticed at Panto's and even at Chitty Chiity Bang bang is that audiences either don't know that they should participate or somehow feel embarrassed to do so. F'rinstance, when the child cathecher appears there was hardly a boo in the house. It's not oipera, it'spanto or kids productions, light hearted entertainment so audiences, let's get stuck-in. A panto's hopeless withput a good audience to boo, cheer, groan and 'behind-you'. It should be taught in schools.

That's fine as a sentiment, but this involves the Krankies FFS. You've got to draw a line somewhere. They never have and never will be funny in the conventional sense. Immolation is seriously too good for them. Come the revolution they'll be standing next to Lloyd Weber and a generous cross section of the ramblers Association up against the wall.

We normally go to the King's Theatre in Edinburgh for the panto.
Lovely art deco building and always a great show.
You wouldn't get me into anything starring the Krankies though.

Just think - while these washed up celebs are only bothering a few hundred people in a panto, they are off our TV!

I managed to resist the one here last year which "Starred"
Anna "On the Buses" Karen.

(For anyone under the age of 40 "On the Buses" was a crap sitcom from before you were born)

A Mr John Beaumont was the manager .He was married to one of the girls from the aforesaid family .
A real old fashioned Gentleman .It was a pleasure to work for him .
That was a long long time ago .But remembered fondly .
