Ahhh, bliss! Discharged from hospital, home, showered and waiting for a take-a-way curry. Life is looking good :highfive:

Feeling lucky to have been in such a massive crash, suffered such serious injuries and to walk away from hospital in less than 72hrs.

Be warned, I will likely be around on the forum posting even more nonsense than usual!

Glad to hear that you're back home after those injuries. Enjoy your curry!

Hi Skolly, I knew nothing about your accident. What happened? Seems like everyone else knows,is there a thread somewhere

Sounds nasty but you're a big tough northerner so I'm sure you'll be fine. Get well soon

Thanks for all the messages, they are very much appreciated.
Still a long way to go physically. The nights are the worst, head starts aching once I lie down. Head trauma specialist said this is normal for my injury and could continue for a few weeks
Also get back ache after a while because I have to lie flat on my back with my neck brace on. After a few hours this gets very uncomfortable. Really looking forward to the day I can lie on my side again but also sure I will be sh!t scared to do so in case anything goes crunch!

This mornings painkillers are kicking in now so feeling much better after having a coffee while sat up in bed. Wife and kids are being brilliant.

Watching the news, stay warm and safe people :cold:

Sounds like a long day, I was going to add keep your chin up, but I'm afraid to in case anything goes crunch.

Hopefully your painkillers work fast and are long lasting.

My fractured skull was OK after a few weeks but I did suffer with dizzy spells and up and down blood pressure on occasion for about twelve months. I was told that this was to be expected and it would resolve. We're all different but be prepared just in case.

@I like Skol I found sleeping difficult with the neck brace on , I hate lying flat on my back, I bought one of these bed back rest things for about £20 from a local disability place and slept propped up, your welcome to it if you want to try it.
