Honey can kill babies!!!

I was in loco parentis with the 9 month old George and fed him with some mashed banana and honey thinking it was a wholesome combo. It turns out that honey can be dangerous for children under one year old with a possible risk of fatal consequences. Clostridium Botulinus or summink involved. Why did nobody tell me and did you all know that already?
I never knew that when bringing up my own kids - it's a minefield out there!

Glad the boy's ok and I'm not sure if I knew or not - I'm sure we've all done tons of stuff that would kill our kids according to x y or z, mine were both still alive last time I looked.

I didnt know, but have just looked at the jar of honey in the cupboard and it does have a warning. Never noticed before.

Apparently letting your children outside is also dangerous. Best just to lock them up with the internet and feed them 'value' burgers.

My son used to have honey in his porridge I think.

I've since learnt about the risk, but only because I've since nursed infant's with a case of honey induced botulism!

When you drop him on his head, you can spread the honey on the resultant wound and it helps it heal faster.
