Yes, but it does not kill botulism bacteria spores. The pasteurization kills yeast which would ferment in commercial honey before it was sold.

Pasteurisation, although kills the bacteria, the problem is the bacteria in question produces spores during stress which are not killed during the process. These spores can under the correct conditions can start growing again.

Like Sara I fed my eldest on honey sweetened porrage. That as in 1993 and she's still alive and studying at Uni.

I guess the risk is small but real and only apparent if it actually happens. As kids don't need to eat honey best to counsel against. Don't think I'd be too worried about doing it again though.
