How can you tell if you're a snob?

Im horrified by the "food"!

Likewise. I'll eat it. But its low down the list and i have to be short of other options !

Imagine how full of crapntheir food must be to survive since 1967 and still be recognisable.

On a long journey, driving my Mum back home (she's in her mid 80's), she "decided" she "needed" yet another "comfort" break.

Only place we came across was, yes, you've guessed it, a McDonald's. Mum duly used the loo, came out and said "I'm a bit hungry".

"OK Mum, I rarely use such a place, but what do you want?"

Young lady serving us, looked totally bemused when my Mum said "I've no idea what they do, never been in one of these places."

After suffering, sorry, eating, a small burger and a few fries, she said to the young lady "Thank you so much dear, that was deliscious."

We got back to the car and as I was getting her out of her wheelchair she said "That's the last time I'm ever eating at one of those places!"

I'm really 'anti-snob' cos of my parents, a Fish supper always went on a plate (warmed of course) the dining table was always set with cutlery and up til I was 12 I was sent to 'Sunday School' dressed like little Lord Fauntleroy with my 2 younger sisters in identical dresses.
Some would say this was a 'good upbringing' and it may have been in the postwar years but not in the mid 70's,

I'm a snob. It's Acera, Sun Race and Alivio for me. I look down on people who need Dura Ace to feel good about themselves.

Worst car in the street. Least overheads / monthly outgoings. And most savings. Called intelligent wealth or similar I believe. I’ve gone way past caring what impression i make or others think - so subscribe to all of the above in some way.

Carbon fibre is ridden by riff-raff and brings me out in hives. Not only do I not own a road bike with disc brakes, I refrain from interacting with the chavs who do.
