A 2 litre Granny was never a good car! Woefully underpowered! At least by fitting a Cosworth lump he's improved it.

The colour alone is enough to put me off but someone has put a lot of time in doing the modifications.

The problem with modified cars is selling them on as i'm sure he's going to find out,i quite like the look of the granny and all for the engine swap but my god those wheels are nasty,he's spent all that money on the car and fair play to him,he's built a car HE loves,he's problem now lays in finding someone with the same tastes as he's,it would be worth more in standard form with the cossie lump in or out, good luck to him though

5 years and £15K to turn a rather run of the mill but perfectly nice Granada into something that would make me xx(

I am not a huge fan of those cars, prefer Mk3 Cortina's and Mk1 Escorts for classic Fords. Even so he has ruined it. The first thing that hit me was the wheels, they are truly hideous. The doors are just a complete expensive waste of money and look stupid. I do not think I would of minded the colour if everything else remained standard.

Personally, I'm seriously impressed. A lot of time, money and love have gone into that car, and it certainly stands out. Congratulations to him, i say.

I was expecting some kind of Barryboys shed but its actually quite tidy, I'm not personally keen on it but like you say it seems to have been done to a good standard:thumbsup:

Reminds me of a story, when i was 16 in 1979 (to young to drive) my neighbour had a 1963 Mk 1 Cortina, he owned it from brand new and it was immaculate, garaged every night and had only covered about 10,000 miles.he decided to sell it as it wasnt getting used. a spotty faced local teenager bought it,sprayed it black (with what looked like aerosol) jacked it up at the back, put big wheels on and loads of naf halfords type accesories. we used to see it driving around our area and my neighbour was devastated by what had happened to his "pride and joy"
